In early March of 2020, I traveled from Indiana to New York City. At the time, the full dangers of Coronavirus had yet to be recognized in the United States. With only a few cases present in the states; mask mandates, social distancing and lockdowns had yet to be enforced. As we now know, New York City became the epicenter for the virus. The week I was there was the week the city began shutting down. There was a parallel between normalcy and themes of isolation and distancing, especially from those living and working in the city. However, there was no stopping the spirit of New York City from shining through.
